Basalt Privacy Policy

Basalt is an offline-first macOS synthesizer from Nightjar Audio. The app does not include advertising, tracking SDKs, analytics SDKs, third-party login, or network features.

Data collection

Basalt does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data. Presets, imported audio, preferences, autosaves, MIDI mappings, and crash-recovery files remain on your Mac unless you choose to export or share them yourself.

Microphone and audio files

Basalt may ask for microphone permission only when you use live audio capture features. Imported audio files are used locally for sample, wavetable, spectral, granular, or impulse-response processing. Audio is not uploaded by the app.

App Store privacy details

Basalt is declared as collecting no data, using no tracking, and using no tracking domains. If a future build adds telemetry, cloud content, licensing, accounts, or subscriptions, this policy and the App Store privacy declaration will be updated before that build is released.
