Updated 14 October 2026 for the expanded puzzle version, version 1.2.0. Publisher: FreeRange Labs.

Solve³ processes cube photos, camera frames, color predictions and solving on your device. We do not run a service that receives these images or cube states. The app has no developer-operated account, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK.

Raw camera frames and selected photos are used temporarily for recognition and are not saved by the app. The app saves your current sticker grid, orientation scheme, progress, optional center RGB calibration and solution records locally. Each puzzle has its own local progress and solution history. The original 3×3 history uses SwiftData with a JSON recovery copy.

Optional synchronization transfers timer results, training progress and cube profiles through your Apple iCloud account or a folder you choose. Puzzle photographs, captured sticker states and solution history are not included. You can leave synchronization disabled. Apple or your chosen folder provider handles that storage under its own privacy terms; FreeRange Labs does not receive it.

Experimental smart-cube tools use Bluetooth permission to connect to compatible nearby cubes and receive cube events. Pairing is optional and does not upload puzzle states to a developer service.

Camera access is used only for face scanning or the optional camera turn guide. Close the relevant sheet to stop capture. Photo import uses the system picker or a user-selected file. You may deny camera access and use imported photos or manual color entry. Manage camera permission through Apple’s system settings.

Sharing a solution sends the text to the destination you choose through the system share interface. The recipient’s privacy practices apply. If you contact support, we receive the information you voluntarily send; avoid including personal information in cube photos or logs. Purchases and App Store services are operated by Apple under Apple’s policies.

You can reset calibration in Cube settings, replace a puzzle’s current capture with Start new, and clear saved solutions in History. These actions affect app records; system backups and exported copies are governed by your device settings and chosen recipients. Uninstalling removes the app’s local container according to Apple’s platform behavior.

The app does not intentionally collect personal information from children or other users. If future versions add data collection or services, this policy and App Store disclosures must be updated before release.
